Bone Grafts
Neobone®

Neobone®

Neobone® is a calcium phosphate bone substitute that mimics natural bone structure, combining tricalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite. Its porosity supports complete vascularization, enabling long-term regeneration.

Neobone® synthetic biphasic calcium phosphate bone graft by Bioceramed for orthopedic, dental, spine, and trauma applications

General Description

Neobone® is a synthetic bone graft substitute composed of β-Tricalcium Phosphate (β-TCP) and Hydroxyapatite (HA). This optimized blend of calcium phosphate materials closely mimics the mineral phase of natural human bone, promoting excellent biocompatibility and osteointegration.

The porous structure of Neobone® is engineered to facilitate complete vascularization and cellular infiltration, supporting natural bone regeneration. Its chemical composition and interconnected porosity enable the gradual resorption of the material while new bone tissue forms in its place.

Neobone® is available in a range of shapes—including blocks, wedges, cylinders, and granules—to accommodate diverse clinical needs and anatomical sites.

Properties

  • Osteoconductive
  • Porosity > 40 % (50-60%)
  • Macropores size > 500 µm
  • Micropores size < 10 µm
  • Uneven surface
  • Compressive strength > 10.0 MPa
  • Radiopaque
