Neocement® Inject P

Neocement® InjectP

Neocement® Inject P is an injectable calcium phosphate bone cement designed for in situ hardening. Promotes vascularization and bone regeneration.

Neocement® Inject P injectable calcium phosphate bone cement by Bioceramed for orthopedic and trauma surgeries

Description

Neocement® Inject P is an injectable bone cement composed of synthetic calcium phosphate ceramics, specifically designed for the treatment of bone defects in trauma surgery. It is provided as a two-phase system—a solid component and a liquid component—which are mixed to produce a ready-to-use paste.

After preparation, Neocement® Inject P forms a smooth, injectable paste that can be easily delivered directly into the defect site. Its composition closely resembles the mineral phase of natural bone, enabling osseointegration and supporting new bone formation.

Under physiological conditions, the cement sets to form hydroxyapatite, the primary mineral found in human bone. Its biocompatibility, moldability, and injectable form make it an ideal solution for minimally invasive application in orthopedic trauma cases.

Properties:

  • Osteoconductive
  • Injectable
  • Interconnected porosity of ~ 40% allows appropriate bone ingrowth and vascularization
  • Hardens in situ: the setting time is between 8 and 12 minutes
  • Radiopaque
  • Compressive strength after setting: 8 - 17 MPa
  • Potential to be used as an antibiotic-delivery system
